España

Granada, España

Alhambra

(Arabic origin to mean "red or crimson castle")

The palace of the Moorish monarchs

Sights along the narrow alley ways next to Alhambra
The oranges here produce the best juice I have ever had!
Driving along the Spanish highways with the median lined with these pink flowers was gorgeous.

Ha Ha! These signs were funny. The eyeballs stuck out to us and that's all we could see every time we saw them.

Malaga, España

A beachside restaurant that looked promising. I tried fried cuttlefish. I do not recommend it.

Matalascañas, España

Parque Dunar (Sand Dune Park)

Mazagón

Dinner followed by a walk along the marina

Have you ever seen a tree this purple?

El Rocío

An old western town with a  large cathedral in the central town square

Evening on the beach at Matalascañas

These girls are awesome and made for a great trip!

Mérida

Home of a few Roman ruins

An old Roman Theatre that has been partially reconstructed for use today.

Roman Gardens

An old aqueduct that was built in 1st century AD and brought water from approx. three miles away to the people of this town. I was amazed that something so old still exists.

An old military base....
...and the cannon balls. Wow, these are huge!

Throughout our trip we saw groves and groves of olive trees but never actually stopped to look closely at one until the end of our trip. Spain produces a lot of olive oil so it was neat to see a tree!
