I have made it safely to my destination of Brisbane, Australia :) I began my travels in SFO where I spent a week with Jon and his family. I flew out at 0745 pm on the 12th. After a 13 hr flight I landed in Auckland, NZ for a 4 hr lay over, where I then caught my flight to Brisbane, Australia. I landed at 0930 AM on the 14th. It still is kind of weird that you cross the date line (therefore skipping a day) on the flight across the Pacific Ocean.
Regardless, I made it safely and was greeted by Buffy on the other side of customs and to my delight...Mia pulled up in the Ol' Gurl :) The Ol' Gurl is our wonderful set of wheels....it has no power steering, and no AC or heat. :) We are truly in for an adventure! Buffy and Mia are great...they got everything arranged in our van and it can fit three abroad in the front and there is a jump seat (a camping chair) in the back for our newest travel companion, Brianna (whom we have just met up with).
Currently I have only had one sighting of a spider and from what I hear there are much bigger ones to see!
Buffy is enjoying the living room of our home!!! It's great and I think it'll turn out to be a great refuge if the rain comes. Summer doesn't officially start here until December one.
Mia has been our faithful driver today!

This is a Golden Orb spider....although it seems huge to me, apparently it is a small one.
